A very rare example of a Gennaro Gagliano violin, retaining the original neck, and bass bar, as well as being profusely covered in original varnish.
Gennaro was the son of Alessandro Gagliano, and felt by many to be the most sought after member of the family. His wonderful violins are generally of concert level and prized by soloists around the world for their power and beautiful tone.
